Nexus 9 LTE FCC Filing Appears

If you are one of the people who held off on picking up a WiFi only version of the Nexus 9 to get your hands on the LTE enabled 32GB HTC Nexus 9 then you will be pleased to know that the FCC filing for the device looks to be underway.

According to the FCC filing, the device which has a very similar FCC ID (NM80P82300) to that of the WiFi version (NM80P82100), will support 10 LTE bands (2, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 17, 25, 26, 41) and also has support for GSM850/1900 / WCDMA bands 2, 4, and 5.

The brand new tablet from HTC, who have been out of the tablet market since 2011 when they announced the HTC flyer, went on sale yesterday with the LTE version still showing as coming soon. The only questionable part of this filing being the Nexus 9 LTE is the fact the FCC listing suggests both a 16GB and 32GB version of the device was tested however we know for the moment that the LTE variant on Google Play is only 32GB which suggests that perhaps the company will look to release the 16GB version of the LTE model as their own device away from the Nexus brand.
