In a follow up to KAZAM launching their midrange offerings, their hero devices have now been made official. The Tornado 2 line of phones will be their flagship for this year, featuring 8 core processors. Coming in two models, these high end devices are a welcome addition to the KAZAM family.

The KAZAM Tornado 2 5.0 will have an octa-core processor at 1.7GHz. The device will have 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM. Onboard storage is expandable to 64GB via Micro SD. A 5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 720 X 1280 promises a decent HD screen. The front and rear cameras are 8 and 2 megapixels, respectively, with the main camera capable of 1080P video. Keeping everything powered is a 1800mAh  removable battery.[/toggle]

If you need something a bit larger, the KAZAM Tornado 2 5.5 is the phone to go with. In addition to it’s larger footprint, it is the most powerful device in the OEM’s portfolio. A 5.5 inch full HD (1080 X 1920) IPS display offers a better experience than the 5.0. The upgraded 2500mAh battery is a welcome addition here, as the larger screen with a better resolution will suck battery a bit faster. The same 8 core processor is present here as the 5.0. The RAM and ROM, however, get a boost to 2GB and 16GB each. The Tornado 2 5.5 will be upgradable to a 32GB Micro SD card. For photos, you have a 13 megapixel main camera, capable of the same 1080P recording as it’s smaller sibling, while the front camera gets a boost to 5 MP. [/toggle]

Both devices have the same Mali 450 GPU, which should be sufficient for most gaming. Further, both are dual sim models. As seems standard with all of their phones, KAZAM’s Rescue and cracked screen replacement are included features.  Pricing and availability have not been set, however the range will be offered across Europe. KAZAM announce first octo-core phones

Two phones in new KAZAM Tornado² range

MWC, Barcelona, 25^th February 2014 – KAZAM, the European mobile brand, today announces the launch of its first octo-core smartphones.  The two new handsets, the KAZAM Tornado² 5.5 and the KAZAM Tornado² 5.0 are the hero devices in the KAZAM portfolio, due to launch across Europe in Q2.

The top of the range KAZAM Tornado² 5.5 boasts the following features:

• 1.7Ghz octo-core processor
• 5.5 inch IPS touchscreen display
• 13 MP rear camera / 5MP front camera
• Android 4.2
• Dual SIM
