Poor Feedly. They finally had their service restored yesterday into today. All was well, until yet another (or possibly the same) band of miscreants began to attack them again.
Once again, Feedly is working with their service providers to get this mess straightened out. If you are concerned with your personal data, you can relax. These sort of attacks have nothing to do with gaining user data. The official blog will update as soon as they remedy their issue, or as the Feedly team has a situation update.
Hopefully this is just a single isolated incident today. Yesterday both Evernote and TweetDeck were experiencing issues. Evernote suffered from a Distributed Denial of Service attack before Feedly did, while TweetDeck had a script running causing people to retweet Emoji hearts automatically.
Stay tuned for future updates, and if you have another issue to report feel free to do so in the comments or tweet @landofdroid.
Feedly is back up. The attackers tried, once again, to extort money from the RSS utility. They have again declined. From the blog: These criminals are determined to try to extort some money and we are determined to say no to extortion and focus on building a stronger feedly instead. Thanks again for your overwhelmingly positive support throughout the last 2 days.
