Tegra 4, the super powered GPU from Nvidia has been shocking the world recently with its benchmark scores almost doubling those of its competition, has been showcasing some new games at MWC in Barcelona. These games take full advantage of the 72 core GPU in a Tegra 4 chip such as dynamic shadow and lighting, enhanced ragdoll effects and more. Here’s just a small sample of what you can expect from the graphics giant.
Burn Zombie Burn by Tic Toc games, as the name suggests, is and action game that has you killing zombies in order to survive a post apocalyptic world. Features a slew of weapons and “console quality” graphics as you would expect from a Tegra 4 game. You can check out a video below
Carrie: Blood Mansion by Neowiz is an adventure game featuring immersive environments and highly detailed effects. Again fully optimised for Tegra 4, Blood Mansion boasts high res textures, enhanced physics and optimised fire and smoke effects. The Tegra 4 version of blood mansion also features an additional map
RPG codex: The Warrior, again by Neowiz is an action RPG putting you in search of an ancient document while battling ferocious monsters. The Tegra 4 enhancement gives RPG codex real-time lighting and shadows, and HDR.
Dead on Arrival 2 by N3V games again features enhanced lighting and shadow, improved physics and a huge plethora of weapons designed to aid you in your mission for survival in a zombie infested world. You can see how this looks on the nvidia project shield in the video below. From the video you can clearly see the improvement the tegra 4 GPU makes to the game.
Finally we have RU Golf by Nutgee, a sport simulator featuring superior light and shadows, lens flare and highly detailed customisations. The video below shows a clear difference between Tegra and non Tegra devices and if you care about detail, it makes you drool.
