ZTE has once again stepped up to the plate bringing in its new single chip smartphone.
What is a single chip exactly? In a single chip everything is packed into one chip such as the cores, RAM/ROM, and all the IO hardware as opposed to a multi-chip, a single chip does not need other chips to help function. Think of it as more independent.
This helps reduce the amount of energy being used by the other chips. With less energy consumption comes a better battery life.
Thanks to having a reduced amount of chips the 1900 mAh battery can be stretched to feel much longer. The Grand X LTE will have a dual-core 1.5 ghz processor with Android 4.0. It has an 8 mega-pixel camera with full HD recording. It is set to launch in the third quarter of 2012 and as of now the price is unknown.
