Xiaomi Opens Up MIUI And It’s Applications To The Community

As you may or not know I am I big MIUI fan and you can check out our MIUI Guides I wrote in the Modding/MIUI Guides section. These will explain what MIUI is and all you need to know to get you started if you are unsure. Now, if you are clued up and have knowledge of MIUI and what it is all about then you will know its closed off.

Well not now people as Xiaomi have decided to open it all up in a gradual process by providing the source code for the MIUI ROM and the MIUI applications.

If you go ahead and check out the Github you will see a few applications open sourced already and apparently they will likely be more on the way too.

This is great news for MIUI Fans, enthusiasts and developers alike, bringing MIUI to the community and closer together for the Android users who love everything about the very customizable custom rom.
