The Kindle Fire was and still is a pretty amazing device if you’re into the whole Amazon scene. The recent Nexus 7 is a sure competitor though because it has that buttery smooth Jelly Bean. Don’t worry though thanks to the community the Fire now has a beta port of 4.1. Watch it in action below.
It’s not the greatest port but it isn’t beta for no reason. A major think not working is HD Codecs so YouTube and Netflix and other media services like those won’t work so well. The developer does say that Texas Insturments is updating some stuff so that will all be taken care off soon. All in all if you want a taste of the latest Android version go give it a try at: XDA.
