Voodoo Galaxy SIII SIM Unlock in Google Play Store

unnamedNow, I’m not sure how long this will sit in the Play Store for as the nature of the app alone seems to go against so many things and has that “Pull me from the Play Store” tag written all over it but none the less here it is – an app which will remove sim-lock from your Galaxy SIII.

Free, requires root, GT-I9300 only, beta version.

First version: 1.0 beta1 of Voodoo Galaxy S III SIM Unlock tool.
This application unlocks your phone baseband so it becomes able to use SIM cards from any carrier without restriction.

The application is only an implementation, as convenient as possible of the method described here on XDA-developers:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1715149
Adapted from this original work:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=761045

Unlock is immediate and doesn’t require reboot.

Crucial data is backed-up before any operation, however automatic restoration is not yet available inside the app. I will write it it many of you encounter issues.
So don’t freak out, even in worst case the app should not be able to bring any permanent damage.

Note that if I’m careful when writing software it is provided without any kind of warranty or support.

Redistribution of this APK is not allowed outside of Google Play store, neither is selling it.

Voodoo Galaxy S III SIM unlocker has been written in 1 day of work, and source code will be published under WTFPL tomorrow. Yeah I’m becoming lazy as it’s pretty late already (4AM ^^)

Known issues:

- It doesn’t work on non-I9300 Galaxy S III or without root:
Obviously. But not an issue.

- Query SIM lock as seen from system button requires 2 press to access the secret menu expected.
