Vodafone are clearly not a device manufacturer and like a number of other prime network providers, they often source handsets from the smaller OEM’s such as Huawei and Alcatel then re-brand them as their own and sell them at buget prices (or so the past would say).
The Vodafone Smart range of handsets are fairly low budget and aren’t generally anything worth getting excited over however we wouldn’t be an Android site if we didn’t report on new handsets however poor they are right?
A device known only as the Vodafone Smart 861 (V860 was the Vodafone Smart II) has recently gained some certification similar to that which the FCC in the US grant but only here in the UK.
The handset will be manufactured by Alcatel though not much else is known other than what we see in the screenshot above.
