ViewSonic haven’t been particularly ground breaking in the handset market and whilst their tablets arguably have had better success, MWC is drawing ever closer (Monday the 25th) and not to be left out ViewSonic are brining their own Ice Cream Sandwich’s to the party.
The three handsets are:
The 4E is a 3.5 inch device with a 320 x 480 LCD and whilst it looks the part it will be powered by a lacklustre 650MHz CPU and only has a 3MP camera.
The 4S also has a 3.5 inch LCD and a 640 x 960 resolution. Slightly better than the 4E the 4S has a 1GHz CPU, 5MP rear facing camera and a front facing VGA camera.
The last of the Dual Sim Ice Cream Sandwich devices is the ViewPhone 5E which has a 5 inch 480 x 800 LCD. Sadly nothing else is known about the other specs.
With the handsets out the way it’s time to look at the tablet they intend to announce. With a 7inch 1024 x 600 LCD the G70 sits in an already saturated market and with sadly not enough to hold them a decent position there either as the device will cost $350 and has 4 GB of internal storage, 1 GB RAM, a 2 MP rear and front camera, microSD card slot, HDMI port and both a micro and mini USB port.
Whilst none of these are exceptionally special it is worth mentioning that they will most likely be priced as low spec.
