A leaked build for the Galaxy S (i9000), dated 29 December 2011, would seem to suggest that the “Value Pack” idea is still alive at Samsung. Originally we reported that Samsung would be releasing a non-ICS update to the Samsung Galaxy S series which would bring some ICS features to the Gingerbread 2.3.x versions of the SGS since the Galaxy S series can’t run both Android 4.0 AND TouchWiz. Then Samsung said there would be no Value Pack. Now we see differently.
This leaked build (XXJVU) has the following new features:
- Galaxy Note Lockscreen
- Galaxy S2 Photo Editor
- Better camera that can snap stills while shooting video
- Fast auto-rotation
- Face unlock
