If you are an SIII owner then you are no doubt a little annoyed that the Jelly Bean update foe the device has roled out to many carriers before the unlocked update has. This is understandable, surely if a carrier can update the device then the OEM should be able to do it quicker?
According to a post over on SlashGear today, unlocked versions of the SGSIII are now starting to see the update appear.
Among the improvements in Jelly Bean on the Galaxy S III are Google Now, which uses your appointments and location to flag up pertinent snippets of information; more details on alerts in the notifications bar; and new amendments to the camera app that allow video recordings to be paused and resumed. As on the Galaxy Note II, there’s also a new Blocking mode which allows users to pare back what notifications they receive, and from whom.
There are two ways you can update your SGSIII, via Kies or via Settings > About Device > Software Update
