We all know that it’s very rare to be told a device has 8GB of storage then to find it actually has a full 8GB of storage to use right? Well even though this is normal behaviour based on system files etc.. and only so much being actual “user” space, the new Nexus 7 tablet is way lower than it should be in terms of storage being shown as available.
According to PhoneArena, the device has just 5.92GB worth of space available for apps, photo’s, music and the likes.
Normally that wouldn’t be too big an issue BUT the Nexus 7 has no MicroSD slot meaning that you simply have to deal with that.
OK so maybe it seems a bit dramatic, lets be honest, you are paying £159 for a Google Nexus device, can you really be that picky? And again, the chances of a Dev not finding more space to use if you root and ROM it are slim to none anyway.
If you are really worried then spend an extra £40 and get the 16GB version instead.
