Sprint HTC EVO 3D getting OTA update – but it’s not ICS

Sprint’s (current) HTC flagship device, the EVO 3D, is getting an OTA update starting today, but sadly it is not ICS. That will have to wait for later in the year from all accounts. The update is a rollup of security updates for the OS, but also reportedly brings an updated Peep app (Twitter client) and battery improvements. The update version is 2.17.651.5 and you can either wait for it to be pushed to you, or you can trigger the update via Menu > Settings > System Update > HTC Software Update.

    I just the update and it is only 4 App updates, Peep, Facebook, twitter and 1 other app nothing for security or batterlife
