Quad Core processors are the in thing these days and even though many of us (including myself) are yet to see a proper use of the quad cores it seems like the manufacturers don’t care if they are used correctly or not, as long as they can boast they have a quad core device that’s enough.
At the recent International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC) expo Samsung showed off their new Exynos Processor which suggests it’s nearing closer to an official unveiling.
SammyHub who posted this news have said:
While we don’t have any confirmation, the SoC is believed to be Exynos 4412 that was leaked back in November. Anyways, the said processor boasts four ARM Cortex-A9 cores that has a clock speed varying from 200MHz to 1.5GHz and is manufactured using the 32nm HKMG process.
As for the performance, the chip promises to deliver up to 26 percent better performance compared to a 45nm Exynos chip and battery life improvement of up to 50 percent.
Whether it is unveiled at MWC or not the processor is out there and coming to a device near you soon!
