How many times have you seen “20% battery remaining”? If you have an Android phone you know this experience. Every single day your phone’s bar gets down to red before you can do anything and it is pain. Thankfully, Samsung has made another promise that in 2012 it will make an effort to increase the battery life on it’s phones. That means you can get a full day of checking your FaceBook status. Now, we all know that Samsung is sketchy on their promises (eg. Froyo). Putting their past behind, this is what the Vice President of Product Innovations Kevin Packingham said on this issue.
“When you wake up to when you go to bed, we don’t want you feeling anxiety about your battery life.”
He seems very empathetic with us when you read this, but then again these are words on a screen. With all of these major phones coming out with their dual- and quad-cores, it will be a challenge keeping it up. With 4G radios such as LTE eating the battery away like breakfast, do you think Samsung will create the perfect battery? Or will it run out of juice…
