One useful feature of Android devices that doesn’t usually get much publicity, is how well they can connect to other peripherals such as USB storage, keyboards, mice or game controllers.
xdadevelopers Senior Member NZtechfreak posted a video testing how well a number of devices connected to the S3, with impressive results. It seems the S3 is compatible with the majority of USB devices, including the controllers for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii.
Smartphones greatly reduce the need for many stand alone devices such as digital cameras and satellite navigation. This type of connectivity may mean the same for having a separate laptop or game console. Could the S3 and it’s descendants become the ultimate convergence device and only gadget you really need?
