Ice Cream Sandwich is currently installed in just 1% of Android smartphones (i.e. Galaxy Nexus and custom roms), but it looks like this is about to change with Samsung announcing that from today the upgrade is available for their hugely popular Galaxy S2 phones (European models only). This was an actual announcement from Samsung on both their Twitter account and Facebook pages, so looks genuine (compared to the slip-up last week announcing 10th).
They go on to mention that the Galaxy Note, Galaxy S II LTE, Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 ICS update will follow soon.
*UPDATE* – Korean S2 owners as well as those in Poland, Hungary and Sweden will start to get the update from 13 March.
The update will gradually be rolled out to other markets and is expected to hit the UK on 19 March.
Anyone got it yet?
