Whilst this headline may not be surprising given that the device is manufactured by Samsung, they are in fact the fourth company to prepare an update for the very popular Galaxy SII handset sitting behind Three who were first to release it then O2 and Vodafone.
Samsung UK has been working as hard as possible over the last few weeks to get Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) rolled out to all our Galaxy S II customers. We can confirm that ‘XEU/sim-free’ and all network upgrades are now complete except for Orange and T-Mobile which will follow as soon as possible, pending software testing and approvals. Thanks again for your patience.
If you own an unbranded (non network subsidised) Samsung Galaxy SII then connect your phone to KIES now and get your tasty Ice Cream Sandwich update.
Of course, you could be even cooler than everyone else and post a review of your pre and post update experiences of the SII on our site.
