After starting to get into Kernel flashing on my Asus Transformer Prime, and getting into messing with scripts to overclock it I needed a way to monitor the frequency I was running and how many cores were being used during the process. I quickly found this app and I could not ask for more in one application.
* Quad & Dual CPU Core support (Nvidia Tegra 3 Quad Core & Nvidia Tegra 2 Dual Core)
* Statusbar notification for CPU Frequency
* Statusbar notification for Memory Usage
* Statusbar notification for CPU Usage (Icon for each core if you want!)
* Multiple notification icon colors
* Running Apps Monitor (with memory and cpu usage details)
This application lets you easily monitor all you need to know about your CPU in one app, you can figure out the frequency, core usage, and more in this app. The best part of this app though is the status bar icons.
This is really just a complete stand out feature for me. The icons will let you know the frequency as you can see I’m running at 1GHz in the picture, and those bar represent the 4 cores and how much of the CPU is being used. This picture was taken while just browsing the home screens so you can see not much of the cores are active but the next picture is taken during a THD optimized game.
There you can see that all 4 cores are active and the frequency is at 1.8GHz and more of the CPU is being used. The app updates in real time and I have it set to update every second so I always see the real performance of the device.
Some things I wish to have in the future will be looking at the companion core on Tegra 3, battery temperature, CPU temperature, and the ability to use it to change governors and frequencies.
Overall this is an amazing and must have app if you are running an overclocked kernel and want to stay on top of your CPU usage.
