It has been announced that the pebble blue galaxy S3 has been delayed and the reason is now here: Due to quality manage concerns the release of this colour has been knocked back by 2-4 weeks, this is due to irregularities in the “hyper-glazing” that is performed to add the pebble blue colour. Results in production have resulted in a blotchy finish as shown in the above picture. Samsung have had to dispose of around 600,000 plastic cases due to this. A new production run is underway with this issue apparently resolved, however this has knocked the original delivery estimate back.
Samsung have released a statement explaining that they want to make sure the best quality item gets into the hands of their customers. This is entirely fair enough but I’m pretty sure they should of picked up on this a little bit sooner?
