Opera Mini is a pretty popular Android third-party browser, and it is used by many who don’t want to consume much data and still want fast speeds. That was what this browser was built for. It’s more stripped down of features to use less data but keep fast speed.
The application was updated to Version 7 and brings along some pretty nice features to go along with it:
- OpenGLES hardware acceleration
- RTL text support in UI (Arabic, Hebrew)
- Beam support (NFC on Android 4.x)
- Exit button
- Speed Dial start page
- Tab management
- Find-in-page UI
The update is pretty big, and some exciting new features are the fact that the application is now hardware accelerated, and that it has beam support. Beam has kind of been a lost feature as not many people can use it, but it is still a cool feature for those who do have it and use it.
