According to a recent post by Android UK News Etc… it looks like o2 (Telefonica) are getting ready to allow their customers to purchase apps from the play store using their mobile bill.
What’s not clear at the moment is when this service will arrive or if it will work with both pre and post paid customers.
Of course o2 are not the first to do this as it’s a service already offered throughout the world with various carriers and in the UK by T-Mobile and Vodafone.
Whilst Chris @ Android UK News is clearly not a fan of this new billing method I have to admit that for me it will make life way more easy (I’m an o2 customer) and there are of course concerns about children running up large bills by downloading apps but please remember that you can set a pin for the Play Store.
