I was browsing the AT&T Galaxy S II forums and I came across this thread discussing the product Liquipel. Liquipel is a product that will pretty much waterproof your device. The only downside is that you have to send your device into them to get the treatment, leaving you without a device for about a week. “Liquipel is not a case, but a nano-sized coating that protects the device’s circuitry in the event of accidental water exposure. It does not inhibit any of the functionality of your device.”. It can be submerged for 30 minutes in up to 3 feet of water without damaging your device. I think this is pretty amazing.
Now this doesn’t mean you can take your phone swimming with you as they claim it only protects “accidental water exposure” but you can have piece of mind that your phone will be ok if you spill your drink at the bar on it, or drop it in a bar toilet (although I’m not sure you’d want it back after it fell into a bar toilet, even if it didn’t have water damage)
Liquipel costs $59 for most devices and they claim to have the device ready within 1-2 days after receiving it. They also have a rush service for $69 which they claim will be done within 1 day of receiving your device
