It seems things aren’t too good for LG at the moment. Despite efforts and commitments to the Android OS the company is far from reaching success similar to what other manufacturers have earned. I personally think this isn’t fair at all as having recently tested an LG (read review here!) I find their smartphones to be as good as any one else’s currently in the market. However, this is apparently all about to change according to Mobile Managing Director Kwon Bong-Suk as they are planning to release a “thinking smartphone”.
The manufacturer is looking to move away from adding cool features and specs to their devices but instead to develop a phone that will not only make life easier but it will intelligently aid in doing so.
How you ask? Examples given include such things as alarm clocks times being adapted to fit around traffic. So if traffic is particularly bad one morning your phone will make the time earlier so you don’t get caught out.
This idea has been heard of before and the possibilities are quite frankly endless with this sort of thing. There are no doubts LG could do this and more but we have to ask at what cost?
