Forgive the cheesy title of the post but if truth be told, it really does upset me. Why do OEM’s continue to ship device this way when they know that Android is all about development?
The Optimus G, which has surprised many by being eagerly anticipated, will come with a locked Bootloader according to a post over on Android Authority.
An LG rep has reportedly advised that the Bootloader will not be unlocked, much to the annoyance of developers who will either have to work hard to unlock it or wait until LG see the light.
We have put our feelers out to LG to try getting an official confirmation however as yet there has been no reply.
So the question is this, will you still buy it if there is unlikely to be ROM support for sometime?
