Huawei is always known to produce many a budget handset, nicely most of the time I might add as well. Well it looks as though the Chinese giant is moving towards now producing more higher end offerings in 2012 and now the details are emerging ahead of one particular device the Huawei Ascend D1 Q. Yes the name surely has to change we know.
If it’s anything like the Huawei Ascend P1 S which boasts these following impressive specs then the Huawei Ascend D1 Q will be a behemoth as well.
The Huawei Ascend P1 S is 6.68mm thin and features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED 960 x 540 touchscreen with Corning® Gorilla® Glass. The Ascend P1 S is also the fastest and most compact smartphone in its class with a dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4460 Cortext-A9 processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
Apparently being announced at the MWC next Sunday, although early images have been outed and shown, which you can see at the bottom of this post. It looks really nice at the moment from the images we have and it looks like Huawei are moving their stance away from the old budget chinese tag that they and ZTE have held for a while.
What do you think, would you welcome Huawei into the High-End fraternity of Smartphones? Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is certainly a major bonus if it does infact hit with the latest version on Android. Far too often Manufacturers ship out an old version of the little green robot.
