HTC One X Leather Wallet Case Review

So being a new owner of a HTC One X obviously it is in my best interest to keep the little guy safe, especially as I am lacking insurance at the moment. I couldn’t really find many cases I  absolutely loved the look of. However I have always quite liked Leather Wallet Phone cases as they just look nice and snazzy and serve the purpose of fitting a few cards and notes in, which when I rarely cary more than £20, my bank card and bus pass in my purse, a phone case that kills two birds with one stone seemed a great plan!I was browsing through Amazon when I found the above case, made by Quibits and sold via ClickJunkie through Amazon.

OVERVIEW

So the Case is a nice subtle shade of purple with a white floral interior. Closes via a small buckle and strap on the side/back of the case and is actually very secure. There are to holes on the back one for the speaker and one for the camera which are both just the right size. For those of you who don’t want a floral interior there are also a few there colour options available, plain black, black with black floral interior, pink with floral interior white, and red with floral interior white. Due to the colour selection I have to say this product is aimed at the ladies but as just stated there is a plain black one if any fella’s are interested.

The product is available to buy at Amazon. It retails for 3 different and slightly odd prices. A plain case on it’s own is £6.99. The case with 2 screen protectors is £4.99. The case with 10 screen protectors is £7.99. Deosn’t take a genius to work out to go for the cheaper one.

FEATURES

- Pocket for Money and Credit Cards

- Wrist Strap

- Protects from bumps and scratches

- Includes 2in1 pack of screen protectors

- Colour Purple, Floral Interior

ANALYSIS

The screen protector comes with a cleaning and is fairly easy to apply, there isn’t anything included to remove air bubbles but credit cards do this fairly well. Unfortunately the screen protector isn’t a perfect fit on the device and is slightly too small and doesn’t fit the curve of the screen too well. Saying that I feel this is tolerable seeing as I got them free with discount to the case, don’t you?

The case itself is pretty sturdy and as of yet I haven’t managed to scratch it. Upon use the white stitching around the edge did being to come undone a tiny bit just under the securing strap but have left this alone and it hasn’t got any worse. The clip on wrist strap is also very handy and just the right size. You can only fit three cards and not a lot of notes unfortunately but as said above I never carry too much cash on me anyway so this wasn’t an issue for me at – although I did have to do some clever tri-folding to get them in the case!

The only fault with this product, and this isn’t really the manufacturers fault, is that to charge the handset in this case you have too have it open but this is only due to the slightly odd location of the charging port on this handset and even then this isn’t a major issue!

IN THE BOX

The product comes in a clear unmarked bag with the phone case padded out with a piece of polystyrene and the two screen protectors with cleaning cloths. Nice and simple and low waste!

CONCLUSION

I actually like this case, the wrist strap makes it easy to carry for those occasions where you don’t have a bag, and I find the One X doesn’t fit nicely in my pocket. For the price this is a reasonable case and I actually can;t think of anything too horrible to say about it. I’m even contemplating buying the red case so I can colour co-ordinate my outfits more – no reason I can’t be a well dressed/accessorised geek :D

So I am happy to award this accessory 4 Droid’s!

I have the pink one and got my phone in there, but now how do I get it back out? Any tips?

      Good question :P
Not easy is the answer to that. Try popping it out whilst pulling the top of the phone forward and pushing the plastic part of the case back if that makes sense? Worked for me at least :)
