So apparently we have to be careful how we hold a Galaxy S III? The guys and gals at Don’t Hold It Wrong have added the S III to their list with a diagram of how not to hold the phone. Apparently gripping it at the base of the handset may result in a loss of signal which could directly affect call quality and GPS functions. They also include that doing this could “cause the device to emit unintended levels of radio frequency energy”.
Doesn’t sound too good put that way but I’m sure it isn’t all that bad. I think this applies to most smartphones these days as the iPhone 4 also experienced similar problems to this if I remember correctly so probably a general design flaw. On the plus side at least someone has picked this up so now we are aware of the problem and can work around it. We will find out very soon :)
