Who makes the best screens? Who has the best clarity and colours? Well the race is always on and it’s always a big debate. Apple have the high resolution retina displays and since it’s a big focus point for manufactures to get a stunning as possible display on their mobile device screens.
With Apple reaching the heights it’s certain others are exploring technology ceiling hitting limits. Samsung apparently have been hitting high.
Their is a report from Korea that Samsung have managed to achieve a 350 ppi on an OLED display with the technology known as FMN (Fine Metal Mask).
Samsung have used this new method now and it’s hitting dizzying heights seemingly. Before they were using something called L ITI technology to try hit those ceilings and limits for the screens we see. If the report is correct and Samsung have achieved a 350 ppi with FMN, then we could soon be seeing this kind of display on AMOLED screened devices.
Nothing is certain this is true of course and we just have to take it as a pinch of salt. But I’m sure Samsung are striving for this kind of achievement and focus is on beating Apple after all.
A high pixel density OLED screen device could be coming soon. Apple’s high density is 326 ppi and called Retina? What will the 350 ppi be called and could we see it in the next Nexus device maybe?
