Google TV is still finding it’s feet in many cases and sure it’s had manufacturers pack up and leave before they really allowed the dust to settle on their sales however with newly announced Android 4.0 devices from Taiwanese manufacturer Honeywld we could be about to see things turn sharply.
The new boxes will allow an Android 4.0 handsets or tablets to stream directly to the TV and also sync other multimedia content between the devices, such as pictures.
The bad news I suppose is that you need an app to do this and the app is still in development
The Honeywld set-top box features a Marvell dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 4GB SSD, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, microSD card slot, Ethernet and HDMI ports, and optional WiFi. It runs a customized version of Google TV based on Android 4.0 and is expected to ship in July, priced between $95 and $120. However, distribution will be initially limited to Taiwan.
