Google aren’t slow at getting out their factory images for devices however I don’t think any have been just quite as fast as the one for the newly announced Nexus 7 tablet.
The Android 4.1 image (build JRN84D) can under the Nakasi section of the recovery download page here.
If you are lucky enough to own one of these already then now you can root (HERE) your tablet and no longer fear those dreaded bricked device thoughts.
