So here we have a physics/puzzle game developed by Disney. The main story line is that an alligator named swampy , who likes to be clean, is having his water supply cut off by his rival Cranky. The aim? Get the water to Swampy!
So the aim sounds pretty simple right? Well yes is can be however as the game develops it’s not as simple as just getting the water to Swampy. The levels all contain 3 ducks that you must collect to get full points (I assume for Swampy to play with in the bath) and these can be dotted around in numerous very difficult to get to places. As well as the ducks you also have other such things to avoid varying from acid to mines and even having to use some of the water to flip a switch and move a barrier in the way. Some levels also contain secret items hidden behind soil which you must find in order to unlock secret bonus levels.
It is a fairly simplistic in that all you have to do is move your finger across the screen to move dirt and allow the water to flow into the new space created. Yet as you’d expect with most puzzle games the levels do get increasingly harder as the story progresses with different obstacles being put up all the time.
The game currently runs on version 1.7.0 and costs £0.62 which is a bargain for over 200 levels however, if you want to continue after completing the main bulk of the game then you have to pay extra in game costs to download extra level packs. Most argue that this is unfair and the whole game should be free, but let’s face it they could have released the extra level packs as new games entirely rather than just updates. Besides over 200 levels for £0.62 is a pretty good deal in my opinion.
At first I was sceptical about a game by Disney but I thoroughly enjoyed this.[rating rating="5"] [appbar id="com.disney.WMW&feature"]
