A lot of people know that I’m a huge fan of NVIDIA, my phone uses Tegra 2, my tablet uses Tegra 3, and I use their GPU chips on my computer. Nothing says power like a the Kepler GPU made by NVIDIA. The Kepler GPU is a 28nm GPU technology, that can run the highest end graphics, and still give top notch performance. The GeForce GTX 680 is the newest GPU for desktops which has the Kepler architecture inside it, and it is top of the line.
Check out what it can do:
Now after watching that video imagine putting it on a tablet, or smartphone. This is the future according to NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang:
“Today is just the beginning of Kepler. Because of its super energy-efficient architecture, we will extend GPUs into datacenters, to super thin notebooks, to superphones.”
This is really exciting we may see it in Tegra 4, but we can only speculate for now. If we had this in the palm of our hands we can have desktop gaming quality, on our phones. This is the future and this is exciting.
