Android is coming to an end?
In my opinion no. But, Business Inside has a completely different opinion. They think that Android has peeked and is going to start a decline. Well I just don’t think so. This isn’t going to turn into a full on attack against Apple, or a full on fanboy post but I do want to give a few reasons why Android is not coming to an end.
1. Android is just beginning in my opinion. Android is not near the end at all, I think the opposite that Android has a lot more to add and change and perfect. Android isn’t perfect and no one says it will, but there’s still a long way until Google perfects the OS.
2. OEMs use Android. Motorola, Samsung, HTC, Huawei, LG, ZTE, and more all use Android. As long as the OEMs keep making devices there are going to be ones that appeal to certain people. With Apple you have one choice and that is it. Everyone loves choice, and choice is good for Android.
3. Last and final reason is developer support.
3a) App developers have been coming to Android. Developers who used to have iOS exclusives now have Android apps as well. There are many reasons to come to Android as a developer and I am sure we will see more coming on to Android, especially with phones beginning to get quad-core processors, and high end dual-core processors like the s4. Android phones are also bigger giving developers more screen room to add stuff to their application.
3b) Community ROM developers. This is huge. Android is all about the open source. As long as open source lives on Android will live on. I stick with Android for many reasons but a major is development.
