A 23-year old student, Kieron-Scott Woodhouse, at Middlesex University has designed a phone made out of a single piece of 4-year old organic bamboo. The only specs that he has released are that it is powered by Android and weighs roughly half of an iPhone with a larger screen. He is calling it “AdZero” and had this to say about it:
“The whole experience so far has been incredible and completely unexpected,” said Kieron-Scott. “Completing my final year and working has been challenging, but my course and the project complement each other well and it’s a great start of my career. I can’t wait to see my mobile phone in shops this year.”
Originally destined for China, he said he’ll be distributing to boutique shops in the UK as well, but no release dates have been set.
