Carbodroid is neat little Android app which allows you to track how much water you drink in a day. Personally, I’ve been using the application for a couple of weeks and I really like it and you can feel the effects of drinking enough water quite a bit.
To get started with the app, it’s very easy as you’re presented with a very friendly screen with a Android man/water-battle style graphic which I guess is where the name “Carbodroid” comes from.
The graphic will start of in a dead state which is where he is drained of all of his water. When you drink enough throughout the day he will fill up. It’s very realistic with my lifestyle of bottles, mugs and cups. However, you can change the measurements to suit your own needs.
You also get periodic notification bar notifications telling you to drink water. Also, by default the vibration is added to the notification which bothers me a little as it makes me think I’ve got a message, however this is easily turned off in the app settings.
When you have filled up the Droid, you can’t overfill him at all, which I don’t suppose is a bad thing. When you have filled up the Droid you get presented with a screen:
Which lets you use the Tweet button on the top of the screen. However, I’m not very impressed with what the tweet sends out:
However that is an easy thing to tweak and for now I will need to remove that extra “Carbodroid”. It may also be Twicca, but I don’t know.
Finally, there is an undo button which is very helpful in removing any mistakes that I do, or even resetting for the day.
Very nice and fun app to use with nice health benefits! However, sharing needs a bit of tweaking, so I give it
