The HTC Evo Shift 4G has joined other devices at Sprint which have received OTA updates recently, all of which have had Carrier IQ removed as a result. This latest update, v2.77.651.3) also includes battery life improvements and an updated Peep client. If you’re one of the users who has this device, you can manually try to update your software (via Menu > Settings > System Updates > HTC Software Update) starting 2/2 or waiting for it to begin being sent to devices on 2/7.
