Site Update:

And those Nexus 4 images are fake

It seems yet again we’ve seen a case of forgery in the upcoming Nexus devices, even to the point where Carphone Warehouse were fooled by the madness.

Why is it fake do you ask? Well, the picture that is in use looks fake by

straight off looking at it, but also because of this post on XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29316521&postcount=416 and it was posted on “25th July 2012″ which was quite a while ago now! And it is a 100% match to the “press release” images we have seen.

A number of things could easily tip you off from the fact there is two weather apps displaying notifications (which Google do not encourage, certainly on Nexus devices) and the tweaks you get from custom ROMs with the centered time and number on the battery.

  • And the obviously photoshopped bottom software keys… Where’s the glare like at the top of the phone?

  • Ken Liu says:

What’s hilarious and quite a good sign is that the Nexus line of phones is getting the same sort of rumour mongering the iPhone gets.

    Just hoping it exceeds expectations
