I have recently received the Amzer Silicone Skin Jelly Case for my Galaxy S III, here is what I think of it.
Firstly lets get the admin out of the way:
This Samsung Galaxy SIII case is availiable from www.amzer.co.uk at the price of £2.99 (including VAT) and is availiable in a wide range of colours to suit your taste. The one I have here is in black.
First Impressions
Now I am going to be honest here, when I first opened up this case I was fearing the worst, it looked cheap and stretchy and I did not think it would fit the phone very well. But I am happy to inform you I was wrong, I really like this case!
Feel
The name of the product might give you an idea of what to expect it is like to touch. It is made of silicone and is very soft to touch, very flexible and rubbery which makes it incredibly easy to put it around your phone and remove it again.
Although it is soft to touch it is not slippery, it is tacky so it will not slide easily on a surface, which is good if you want to make sure your phone will stay put.
Look
The case is solid colour, in my case, its black. It has cut outs for the camera, speaker, light, headphones and micro USB port and has a mould for power and volume keys so that you can use them while the case is on the phone.
Fit
The case fits the s3 very nicely indeed, the flexibility makes it incredibly easy to slip on and off of the phone. I was initially worried that the phone would simply fall out, but it doesn’t at all.
Negatives
The initial appearance of having a loose fit might put some people off, but I don’t think its a problem at all, and I have done some shake testing and the phone stays put.
Silicone is prone to get dusty, the tactile nature of the material means that it picks up dust and dirt out of your pockets and on any surface easily (you may notice in some of the images I have posted), the good news is that it cleans quite easily if you were to brush it with a clean (lint free) cloth.
Because it is a soft gel type rubber were anything sharp to hit the phone it would probably just pierce the case and scratch the phone, but this is probably not likely to ever occur.
Conclusion
For £2.99 this is certainly one of the better cases you could spend your money on, the choice of colours will please many (even though the phone itself only comes in two colours!) I am very pleased with this case and it has already replaced another cheap case I had, although I don’t think it will stop me using the flip case when I have that next week, but we will see.
