We told you that the Samsung unpacked event was cancelled which you can check out here – Google and Samsung cancel Nexus Prime launch.
Now with that cancelled/delayed the news come in that it would be shifted to 27th of October and that it would be right here in the UK in London. Exciting i know and it caught a lot of attention and tech media press, but it has now been dispelled that it is untrue.
Over at PocketLint they have posted that there is plenty more product announcements and launches yet to come that include Android with the Galaxy Note, Tab 7 Plus, and also Mango devices by Samsung are yet to given light.
The rumour train is on track and there is lots of them at the moment. I think we can safely say the world is very excited about Ice Cream Sandwich and the new Google Nexus product, but we must remember that we still won’t know until the launch and take it as unfortunately we must wait to really know what’s going on.
The rescheduled date is still unknown for the launch of the Nexus Prime and ICS.
All we can still go by is Samsung’s original statement below:
Samsung and Google have decided to postpone the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event during the CTIA in San Diego, previously scheduled for Oct. 11. Under the current circumstances, both parties have agreed that this is not the appropriate time for the announcement of a new product. We ask for your understanding regarding any inconvenience caused. We will announce a new date and venue in due course.
Also quoted from PocketLint is this with a solid nod that it wont be on the 27th and the reschedule is still not set at all yet.
However, it has been confirmed that a date for the Nexus Prime launch is still to be set: "We have no information on a future date for the event," Kim Titus, Samsung Telecommunications America’s director of Public Relations told Pocket-lint.
The rumours are flying people so take note and not get carried away unless they are official. Other events seemed to have gotten other news sources thinking it was the Samsung Unpacked event by assumption, but unless Samsung or Google announce it i think it’s safe to say their could be a lot of them flying around. All we can leave it is that if it was in London it would be fantastic news for the UK and i certainly hope it is, but also remember that Eric Schmidt said that we can expect to see the next Nexus and version of Android before the end of November, so we could be waiting a little longer yet.
