Just earlier tonight I mentioned how quiet Sony Ericsson had been recently in terms of new handsets however that could be about to change according to UA Profiles that have leaked on the SE website.
Though we have heard of at least two of these handsets (Nozomi and Aoba) we have no idea about the others
Some of the upcoming handsets (according to the UA Profiles) are:
- Sony Ericsson Nypon (LT22i)
- Sony Ericsson Nozomi (LT26i)
- Sony Ericsson Aoba (LT28i)
- Sony Ericsson ? (LT28at)
- Sony Ericsson ? (MT27i)
- Sony Ericsson ? (MT18i)
- Sony Ericsson ? (ST25i)
Now, if you were wondering (and I know you aren’t) the LT in the device name means the handset will have a Large Touchscreen (Xperia arc LT15i and Xperia arc S LT18i).
With all that in mind lets now break it down a little and tell you more about each handset.
The Sony Ericsson Nypon (LT22i) will have a qHD resolution (960 x 540 pixels), whilst the Sony Ericsson Nozomi (LT26i) and Sony Ericsson Aoba (LT28i) will have a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels.
We will next take a look MT range which again, to keep you in the know, is actually the Mid Tear or Medium Touchscreen range of handsets.
The handsets here are the MT18i (for which we know nothing) and the MT27i which is being tipped as the NEW Xperia Neo due it it having the same 480 x 854 screen resolution.
Finally we look at the ST handset which is the Small Touchscreen range and includes the ST25i which could be the successor to the mini or ray with a resolution of 480 x 854 suggesting a high ppi.
So in summary it looks like the 2012 line e up will be just as big as the 2011 line up which can only be considered great news!
