The Sony Ericsson cross brand agreement has now been brought to an end as Sony pay $1.47 Billion for a 100% stake in the jointly named company.
Alongside the 100% stake in the company Sony will see itself take 5 āpatent familiesā as part of the deal which sees both companies meet again as they enter into a cross-licensing agreement over intellectual property.
What this means for the consumers is still yet to be seen however I would surmise that handsets in the future will be named Sony Xperia instead of Sony Ericsson Xperia.
