With the Asus Transformer Prime being at the forefront of the Ice Cream Sandwich tablet world, it’s all we have been talking about right now currently like it’s the only tablet to have, well let’s not forget another big powerhouse in the Android market of products and the manufacturer who started it all, yes that’s right, HTC.
With 2012 likely being the year of the Quad-Core Android devices, i think we can say it’s competition time. Everyone wants to be the first or best at using certain technology’s right, and the Quad-Core processor chip is no exception.
Over at Digitimes they are using the Chinese-language Commercial Times report as reference to HTC working on a Quad-Core tablet and two Quad-Core Smartphone’s. All these Quad-Core happenings will be coming at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) on February 2012 in Barcelona. The HTC Flyer was announced last year at the MWC and It didn’t really take the world by storm as I’m sure HTC would of hoped it would, confirmed to be running Ice Cream Sandwich and packing a big punch, HTC may have a contender in the Tablet game worldwide to rival the front runner in the Asus Transformer Prime. The Two Smartphone’s rumoured to run Quad-Core chip’s would be a phenomenal pair of beasts, but you have to wonder on battery life with Smartphone’s and if it’s necessary for Quad-Core just yet. Whatever they case, could we be seeing the world’s first Quad-Core Smartphone from HTC at the Mobile World Congress.
