So Samsung first announces they won’t be putting ICS on the Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab, then after a public outcry they announce they’ll investigate, and now there are rumors that they are looking to roll out a “value pack” to the Galaxy S instead of ICS? Really?
According to GSMArena Samsung is considering rolling out an update that would provide improvements to the user experience over the Gingerbread stock ROM. So obviously they think that user’s prefer having TouchWiz instead of ICS without TouchWiz. They have no problem deploying stock Android experiences on the Samsung Transform Ultra and other non-Galaxy devices. Maybe they don’t want to “downgrade” (or perceived downgrade) the Galaxy line of devices by taking TouchWiz away and giving the Galaxy series no longer a unified UI experience.
Whatever the reason, stay tuned to this evidently ongoing saga.
